On Wednesday we spent a lot of the time putting together racks of audio and video gear. It's all for the new campus that is opening in November. The church is in the middle of being renovated so its pretty dirty everywhere. We are not just waiting for a some thing to get finished until we can get all the gear into the church and get everything up and running. It's pretty cool we could have had an install company come in an do a lot of the work but we are saving the church so much money by just doing it ourselves. It involves some extra work though... plus it's pain cleaning up everything.
I also was in on Saturday becuase they needed extra help for the Saturday night service. I ran cameras. They record every Saturday night service as a backup in the case that there is an emergency and the pastor is unable to speak. They would be able to play the video of the sermon for the Sunday services. It doesn't seem like a difficult job but you have to follow the pastor as he walks around stage so that he never gets out of the camera shot. It's easy to get distracted i guess. It went fine though.
I guess that was most of what happened this week, I'll keep you all updated.
